EUROMAP introduces Energy Efficiency Label for plastics machinery

27 October 2014

EUROMAP has introduced an energy label for plastics and rubber machinery. EUROMAP had already published energy measurement standards for injection moulding machines and extrusion blow moulding machines. But up until now, machinery manufacturers have used labels of their own design.
In order to make the energy efficiency classes transparent, enabling customers to make comparisons, a common neutral label has now been developed, the specifications for which may be found in a new EUROMAP recommendation. Unlike the EU energy label (e.g. for refrigerators), the EUROMAP label is voluntary. Also, no third-party certification is required in order to display it (News Release EUROMAP, 1 October 2014).
