Distance between entrepreneur and investor too large

Banks are reluctant to provide capital for start-ups, putting pressure on the entrepreneur. The gap between entrepreneur and investor is too large, yet can be overcome with the implementation of stacked funding. Stacked funding is the combination of appropriate forms of funding through loans, equity, crowdfunding, credits, grants, venture capital, etc.
A news item from the Kennispark Twente on the 21st of October, 2015, concludes that the Netherlands is not at the right level when it comes to risk investments and financing strategies. The report states that the interconnection of various small funds divided across different sectors is not optimal.
