Annual Meeting NVC Innovation project Accelerate (Live Hybrid)

Accelerate encompasses NVC activities aimed at improving packaging through intelligent automation.

This time, we will focus on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the automation of packing and filling lines. Specifically, we will discuss a possible NVC collaborative research project: Productivity increase by AI-assisted Packaging Automation (PAIPA).

In PAIPA, we aim to jointly explore the basic principles of using AI tools to improve the speed and quality of actions performed on the human-machine interface in packaging and filling machines.

For inspiration, we will start with a unique presentation by the Fraunhofer IWU research institute on their international GreenBotAI research project. This project examines the new possibilities for AI-supported robotics. The results are certainly also applicable to packaging automation.

Finally, we will share how we, as an association, together the NVC member companies, are giving substance to Empack Nederland (14-16 April 2026) and interpack (7-13 May 2026).
