Austria sends 2014 Packaging Ordinance to European Commission

Austria has sent its 2014 Packaging Ordinance to the European Commission. The standstill period ends on 13 January 2014. The main contents are:
- Adoption of the contents of the 1996 Packaging Ordinance and reorganisation of the areas of household packaging and commercial packaging.
- Further provisions on obligations for household packaging, in particular rates for separate collection and recycling rates to be achieved by collection and recovery systems.
- Determination of collection and tariff categories.
