Research report: Design challenges with biobased plastics

25 August 2015

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) in the Netherlands has researched the possibilities to make products with biobased plastics. The research report ‘Design Challenges with biobased plastics’ that the HvA published on the 25th of June gives an overview of these possibilities.
The report includes a table that can be used to decide which biobased plastic can be used when designing a new product. It describes the unique properties of the different sorts of biobased plastics. The report also contains a number of examples, including the Coca-Cola PEF bottle made entirely from plant materials (News Item Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, 24 June 2015).
