NL: Two reports about littering published

01 September 2015

Milieu Centraal has studied the littering problem. The study was commissioned by Rijkswaterstaat Environment (Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment). The resulting report describes policy, performance and monitoring in the Netherlands and in the neighbouring countries. It also indicates knowledge gaps.
Nederland Schoon, the Dutch organisation for preventing litter, commissioned Rebel to make an overview of the disintegration times for 25 products that are frequently found in litter. Due to a lack of reliable scientific data, Rebel used desk research to give an overview of what organisations, public institutes and educational institutes communicate online.
