FR: Eco-Emballages fees to decrease at least 10% for 2016

25 September 2015

Eco-Emballages has announced that 2016 packaging compliance fees on average will decrease 10% overall from this year. In a news release Eco-Emballages also discusses measures ("bonus reductions") that companies can implement to further reduce compliance fees.
For example, including on-pack sorting instructions (8% reduction), plus affixing a QR code for smaller packages (4% reduction). An 8% reduction can be attained by reducing packaging weight and volume or using refillable packaging. By implementing all the available bonus reductions, a packaging producer could reduce compliance fees by as much as 24%, according to Eco-Emballages (Recycling Laws International, 14 September 2015).
