Danish EPA publishes guide on packaging used electronics for shipment

06 November 2013

The Danish EPA has published brochure discussing the minimum packaging requirements and prerequisites for packaging used electronics for shipping. The brochure states that if these basic steps are not followed the equipment can be considered to be electronic waste.
Among the requirements is that the equipment is wrapped with minimum one layer of stretch foil or for large products one layer of bubble foil to minimize breakage. The equipment must also be packed with heavy products in the bottom, light products on the top and small and resilient products in between. The free brochure is available in Danish, English, French and Arabic (Recycling Laws International, 28 October 2013).
