Business education needed in plastics technology Germany

27 May 2015

Trends in professional education and training of plastics manufacturing personnel in Germany are given in a press release by the German association of the plastics converting industry GKV.
In the year 2014, a total of 2,483 young people started an education programme in plastics technology, 3% more than in the year 2013. GKV notes that this growth is insufficient to fulfill the demand of the industry as the workforce is ageing and rapidly going into retirement the coming years. Especially SME’s will struggle to find sufficient young professionals freshly entering the labour market. GKV advises German business to stimulate the training and education of their current employees.
