Information session:Web Retail Packaging and the Shopping2020 project (in Dutch)
Shopping2020 is an e-commerce innovation project, addressing the future of retailing at the level of individual companies, associations and at national level. Retailers in food and non-food are struggling with a fast shift from physical to omnichannel retailing, the digitalisation of products and services and a drastic increase in international digital competition.
This information session focuses on the threats and opportunities these developments constitute for Web Retail Packaging WRP. WRP is the activity of packaging products which are ordered on-line and delivered directly to the individual consumer/customer. In addition to this, the session delivers input to the decision on whether participation of the NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre and/or Vereniging Golfkarton in the Shopping2020 project would be beneficial and required.
Special guest is Jorij Abraham, project manager Shopping2020 at Thuiswinkel.org. Chairing the session are Toon Schrijver (managing director of Vereniging Golfkarton) and Michael Nieuwesteeg (managing director of NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre). Admission is free, however subscription on beforehand is required. The total number of attendants is limited.
