Will you be our new Manager NVC Knowledge Development and Projects?

NVC (founded in 1953) is the association of companies that recognize the importance of packaging as an activity throughout the supply chain of packaged products. In 2019 this concerns about five hundred leading companies in retail, consumer products (food and non-food), packaging production, design, recycling, packaging testing and packaging automation.
The NVC membership, the joint innovation projects, the information services and the training courses stimulate the continuous improvement of packaging.

The association is active in the Netherlands and abroad, helps set the trend in global packaging themes and leads the way in sharing relevant business packaging information and offering advanced, leading packaging training courses for the global business community (especially the NVC member companies).

All activities are initiated, coordinated and carried out by a compact team at the NVC association office, near Gouda Central Station. This location is easily accessible from cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels and Amsterdam. Characteristics of the NVC team are openness, innovation, cooperation, initiative, humour, integrity and social involvement.

The current manager has worked with us with great satisfaction since 2007 and is now taking a further step in his career outside the association. That is why there is now room for a successor, who will fill the position in his/her own way in the coming years.

Place in the organisation, capacity, working method

The Manager NVC Knowledge Development and Projects is part of the NVC Management Team (MT). The position has a capacity of 1.0 FTE (1 FTE = 40 hours/week excluding 0.5 hours break per 8 hours worked per day). If changes in personal circumstances give cause to do so, (temporary) fulfillment of (part of) the function in 0.8 FTE is feasible, possibly in combination with 1 day's work from the manager's home location. The work location is the NVC association office, Stationsplein 9k in Gouda. In view of the intended composition of the management team (2 men + 2 women), there is a slight preference for a female candidate.

The NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre stimulates the personal development of its employees. This is underpinned by an annual performance review and an end-of-year (assessment) interview. The wishes and possibilities with regard to personal and professional development are also systematically discussed and fulfilled during this meeting. In this way a stimulating, inspiring working environment is maintained and at the same time the sustainable employability of the NVC employees in any subsequent job outside the association is ensured.
