Influencing the upcoming EU general pharmaceuticals legislation regarding on-pack information: the input text

The European Commission has recently published a Proposal for the Revision of the EU general medicines legislation, in which the information on the packaging is crucial. Will patients soon be able to access information stored elsewhere via the packaging? The NVC working group on Pharmaceutical Packaging Innovation has decided to provide input to the Proposal, based on a preparatory meeting that was held on Monday 14 August 2023.
The definitive text to be sent as input to the proposal of the European Commission will be shared for final comment in a special NVC meeting on Tuesday 26 September 2023 starting 3 PM CET. The meeting will be co-moderated by NVC director Michael Nieuwesteeg and Prof. Karel van der Waarde who is one of the most well-informed and experienced actors in the field of graphic packaging design research for medicines and medical devices.
The meeting is in the NVC Live Hybrid format, allowing participation either at the venue (the NVC Auditorium in Gouda, The Netherlands) or fully online from any location worldwide.
