NVC members meet at Empack

Our participation depends on the COVID-19 developments and the corresponding NVC policy.

Empack 2020 (31 March to 2 April 2020) is this year completely back to the roots where it all started with the Dutch packaging exhibitions: Royal Jaarbeurs Utrecht. For the connoisseur: this is where the Macropak, which was taken over by Empack organiser Easyfairs from Belgium a few years ago, ran for decades.

Utrecht is a beautiful old exhibition city, which is centrally located in the Netherlands and thus offers an excellent opportunity for our member companies, particularly in the Netherlands and Flanders, to meet each other and the employees of the NVC association office. Of course, this includes both our member visitors and member exhibitors.

This year we will be focusing on Design for Intended Use (DIU) as a means of tackling the environmental problems in the world of packaging. Design for Intended Use (DIU) is a process of thinking and the final result of the packaging design that unambiguously shows and guarantees the intended use of the packaged product by the intended user. How can DIU support the responsible collection of emptied packaging? What information helps the consumer-user to unambiguously dispose of his/her packaging after use? We discuss packaging examples at our stand.

Design for Intended Use DIU at NVC stand shows where and how information on the packaging can help with responsible collection after use.

Are you also at the Empack in Utrecht? Then it is always nice to make an appointment with one of the NVC staff. Contact the NVC association office via info@nvc.nl or call +31-(0)182-512411.
