The workshop

During this workshop you will learn how you can help your clients to save money in the supply chain of packaged products, without discussing the costs of your own packaging. You will learn how to encourage your clients to look beyond the purchase price of packaging and help them to see the entire packaging costs in the supply chain of packaged products.

Your advice leads to more products and services that you will be able to sell!

This one-day workshop will take place at the NVC Netherlands Packaging Centre in Gouda, the Netherlands. The primary workshop language is Dutch, however depending on the demand the course may be offered in English as well. Please contact Oscar Faber for this.

The workshop is intended for sales directors, sales managers and sales representatives at suppliers of packaging materials and packaging machines, who strive to improve their sales results by better understanding their customer supply chain.

Programme

The workshop covers the following subjects:

  • From looking to seeing: an overview of all hidden costs in the supply chain of packaged products.
  • Examples of analyses of supply chain costs in large and small organisations.
  • Making and filing in calculation models to demonstrate the cost savings for your clients.
  • Reporting to your client in oral and written form and pointing out your further role
  • Case study, case discussion and exercises

During the workshop you put theory into practice by analysing case studies.

Our tutors are professionally active in this area of expertise, which enables them to quickly incorporate all the newest issues and developments into the course programme.

Dr. Arie Barendregt RM MBA has 16 years of experience in the field of packaging. During his career he was responsible for sales and marketing of packaging materials en packaging machines. Next to selling products and services he also gave guidance to sales teams on how to sell to many national and international food and non-food companies, from SME’s to multinationals. At the companies he worked with he carried out research to identify the costs in the supply chain of packaged products. This is why he can tell like no other how to find successful ways to save money in the supply chain and start selling your services.
