Consumer demand, focused on the speed of delivery of customised products, and technological innovations, are driving the next industrial revolution: the era of mass customisation. The emergence and adoption of technologies, such as 3D printing, Collaborative Robots and Big-Data, are impacting on the supply chain and enabling manufacturers to service their consumers better and faster, and add the required level of flexibility and efficiency to their manufacturing processes.
