NVC at CPhIWW for Pharma Awards and two European medicine packaging research projects

On 1 and 2 November 2022, NVC will be present at the CPhIWW show in Frankfurt, Germany. Out of twenty entries, the winner of the CPhIWW Pharma Award 2022 will be announced there, after a thorough jury process with NVC closely involved.

We will also meet companies for two new research projects in the field of packaging of medicines and medical devices: PicPac and Entropak#2.

In PicPac (Pictures for better Patient Compliance), European research is carried out into improving the effectiveness of pictorials on packaging. The result: the patient complies better with the therapy and also knows better how to dispose of the emptied pack responsibly.

Entropak#2 builds on Entropak#1, in which packaged consumer products (beer bottles) were tracked from the moment they were filled to the moment the consumer threw the empty bottles in the waste bin. Based on these insights, a similar European project is now being set up for medicines.

All results will be presented in the 13^th annual meeting of the NVC international working group on Pharmaceutical Packaging Innovation, which will take place on 16 June 2023.
