Launching the PUMA Manifesto (Dutch edition)

working together to end packaging as an environmental issue worldwide

PUMA is the collective effort of the packaging business community to make an end to packaging as an environmental issue worldwide. The PUMA Manifesto was published on 6 May 2020 (in English) as a result of the collaborative effort in PUMA since the kick-off, that took place 25 March 2017. Today the Dutch version of the PUMA Manifesto will be introduced.

The PUMA Manifesto outlines the way forward towards the end of packaging as an environmental issue worldwide.

The PUMA Manifesto consists of the PUMA Model describing the essentials of the packaging activity and the relation between packaging and the environmental resources involved. A clear roadmap is provided for the world packaging community to apply, based on a joint open-minded exchange and valuation of reliable information, continuous learning by the profession and sustained holistic innovation.

Last but not least, the PUMA Manifesto is an inspirational tool to solve an issue that may otherwise threaten the societal licence to operate for the whole sector (retail, recycling, packer-fillers, packaging suppliers and others).

Environmental problems caused by People can – and will - also be solved by us, the People!
