Gold in packaging innovation worldwide inspires participants (2 and 3 April 2025)

The first edition of packaging innovation contest De Gouden Noot took place in 1958. By organising De Gouden Noot, NVC Packaging Centre promotes holistic innovation in packaging worldwide. The name of the contest is reflected in the unique winner's trophy. This contains a walnut made of solid gold: the symbol of the number one in packaging innovation

The Award Ceremony of the 32nd edition took place on Thursday 10 October 2024, at the iconic A'DAM Tower in Amsterdam

Gold winner was PACKSYS GmbH with their Ophthalmic plus bottle: an innovatively designed eye drop bottle for both older and younger people.
Silver went to Lift Up by DS Smith: a well thought-out multipack for PET bottles. Bronze was for Berlin Packaging with their BUNCKER Pro Line Heavy for safe storage and transport of lithium batteries.

These winners and the other seven finalists can be viewed physically at EmpackNL immediately after entering the Main Entrance.
