FachPack Germany hosts PUMA to end packaging as an environmental issue worldwide

On Tuesday 25 September 2018, FachPack Germany will host a unique lecture on the PUMA project, striving to make an end to packaging as environmental issue worldwide.

Packaging is the activity of temporarily integrating an external function and a product to enable the use of the product. Packaging has been with mankind already since ancient times in some moderate form, but the 20th century has brought a dramatic acceleration. The world 'does it' at least 100,000 times per second - creating a huge environmental issue.

The PUMA project is aiming to end packaging as an environmental issue worldwide. It builds on the wealth of experiences gathered and the many activities developed in the years 1996-2016 and the goal is to get the job done in a decade, so in the years 2017-2026.
The PUMA lecture provides an overview of the state-of-the-art, analyses the critical factors for future success and shares the results achieved since the successful PUMA project kick-off (29 March 2017). The lecture starts at 12.10 AM at the PackBox Forum Hall 7, stand 7-354.
