NVC fights skills gap in packaging at UK conference
On June 22nd-23rd the European Packaging Network event took place in Reading, UK. NVC was partner-organisation and on day 1 NVC managing director Michael Nieuwesteeg elaborated on innovation in business education to prevent a skills gap in the European industry. In particular, he shared the results of the 1st European Conference on the Future of Business Education in Packaging. The debate focused on the value of externally validated diplomas and the need for continuous skills development, from the perspective of both the employer and the employee. In the afternoon of that day, a workshop was organised to confront the participants with the challenges of packaging for e-commerce.
