Invited lecture by NVC at Top Packaging Summit 2014: Web Retail Packaging: an inconvenient truth for the future of retail?

This invited lecture by NVC director Michael Nieuwesteeg addresses the challenges of Web Retail Packaging. Key issues are the impact of mobile ordering in driving the supply chain of packaged products, where the consumer defines the location of delivery. Areas addressed are the prevention of product waste, the optimisation of return logistics by better packaging, communication with the consumer via the package at the doorstep and how to ensure sustainability.

The Top Packaging Summit 2014 is a two-day conference taking place on October 22^nd and 23^rd in Sundspärlan, in Helsingborg, Sweden, addressing global packaging issues from a Scandinavian perspective.
