10th Anniversary NVC Chair Packaging Design and Management
On 26 May 2016 we celebrate the fact that on 1 May 2006 the NVC Chair Packaging Design and Management was founded. That joyful moment concluded an intensive three year process addressing the necessity to create a University platform enabling education for students aged 17-24 and the exchange of scientific insights in packaging between business and academia. A long-term partnership was established between NVC and University of Twente and more than 70 students have graduated since then, supervised by professor Roland ten Klooster and/or other members of the scientific staff of the chair. The 10th anniversary will be celebrated with a great get-together-party at the university campus, commencing at 4 PM and ending ‘officially’ at 7 PM. All graduates are invited as well as the scientific staff of the Chair. A special welcome is given to the 25 students who participate in the annual European study trip of MSU School of Packaging with their professor Donatien Pascal Kamdem. NVC is supporting this MSU study trip and their four day stay in The Netherlands will have a last stop at University of Twente on 26 May 2016 before traveling to nearby Germany. Business will have the opportunity to attend as well, especially the NVC member companies that support the Chair through the Programme Council.
